The White Collar By Sunil Kumar

The White Collar, a work of contemporary fiction by Sunil Kumar, is a novel about the country's middle class and the systemic corruption that affects everyone, from low-level employees to those in positions of authority, daily.

The author has crafted an enthralling story that serves as a mirror of society via the characters of Neha, Kamal, and Akash. Whatever occurs in our everyday lives is nothing more than a reflection of ourselves as individuals living in a broken society. All three of the main characters are presented as civil service candidates with one common goal: to get the desired position. While Akash leads a luxurious lifestyle because of his filthy rich roots, Neha and Kamal come from modest beginnings. The former pursues his objective and desire, whereas the other two have to give up their aspirations when they fail to succeed and end up becoming elementary government teachers. It's fascinating to observe how inequalities in status cause things to turn nasty.

Unexpectedly, Akash contacts Neha one day to tell her that he would be visiting her home to ask for her hand in marriage. However, because of his mother's comments about Neha's family's socioeconomic standing, their relationship ends. After some time, Kamal and Neha decide to be married, starting their meager, humble lives. They both have goals, though, and this leads to a struggle for control and a battle against the system, in which they will succeed but also pay a heavy price.

Each person is suffocating under this system; if you need assistance from the government with anything, you will need to bribe someone because they won't work without it, and that corruption should be stopped. The White Collar is a fast-paced story that tackles the real-life main issue of corruption and its branches that have corrupted this society and stopped its success of society. This book is a scathing indictment of the corruption that permeates every aspect of our society and to which we all occasionally fall prey. The author has done an excellent job on this book and increased awareness of these concerns via it. I highly recommend it to all readers.
